Select Brass Bio

This dynamic group of artists is well known for their polished performances. The name Select Brass was especially chosen because we comprise a select core of some of the finest musicians available. We pride ourselves on the versatility and background we bring to each performance. Our repertoire includes musical styles ranging from Classical, to Jazz and Blues, to Pop and Swing and most everything in between!

The Select Brass perform year-round and participate in a variety of events, including:

• Wedding ceremonies and receptions
• Corporate events
• Holiday performances
• Church festivities
• Military functions
• Industrial shows
• And much, much, more…

Each individual in the Select Brass is an accomplished musician and has performed with orchestras such as Cape Town Symphony Orchestra, Middel DeutscheRundfunk Orchestra of Germany, Mexico City Philharmonic and National Chamber Orchestra of South Africa. Members of the Select Brass also perform with local well known ensembles in San Diego including the San Diego Symphony, San Diego Comic Opera, Star Light Theatre, San Diego Chamber Orchestra and the San Diego Opera. In addition, the players have performed with Natalie Cole, Tony Bennett, David Sanborn, Lou Rawls, Sheena Easton, Steve and Edie Gorme, and Barry Manilow to name a few.
